On Sunday, March 17th, the SURPASS project, a European-funded initiative promoting sustainable and recyclable plastics, is teaming up with Waste Free Oceans (WFO), an environmental NGO based in Brussels, to organize a city-wide clean-up event in honor of Global Recycling Day.
Plastic waste poses significant threats to public and environmental health, the European Union answers to it by funding projects for research to address these issues. As this is a shared responsibility we raise awareness on this issue by holding this event on Global Recycling Day! We aim to amplify our impact and promote a more sustainable mindset by coming together and enjoying meaningful time for the collective good.
